Total Quality Management (TQM)

At HealthPort, we are committed to excellence in service, which is monitored on a continuing basis through our Total Quality Management (TQM) program. The TQM program, which was developed by credentialed HealthPort managers in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) guidelines, has three components:

  1. Quality Improvement (QI) program - a comprehensive on-site quality review performed by the HealthPort management team
  2. Quality Review (QR) program – allows our customers to provide objective feedback on a regular basis
  3. Quality Assurance (QA) process – ongoing audits of a random sample of record requests by predetermined criteria or by sensitive data

These programs allow the HealthPort management team to objectively review delivery of service to customers, evaluate associate performance, identify continuing education needs and potential service issues.
